QSSI and Netcom teamed to install a Berk-Tek Ortronics structure cable plant for The Department of Transportation new headquarters

The project encompassed one 8 story building and one 10 story building on one campus site.

The project had over 4,000 outlets with over 15,000 Category 6 workstation cables.

The project has 36 telecommunications rooms, two MDFs and one Data Center. All had extensive and redundant connectivity consisting of MM and SM fiber as well as high pair copper.

The team installed a “leaky coax” system to facilitate a useable cell phone network within the building.

The team installed all of the low voltage cable for the security systems (video surveillance and Access Control).
